The Independent Monitoring Authority (IMA) invites anyone with knowledge and experience of the Home Office’s EU Settlement Scheme to submit written evidence to assist with our pre-inquiry activities. This information will help the IMA to identify any key areas of concern, compare these findings with those of other organisations, and inform our next steps.
We are keen to hear from individuals who have applied to the scheme, or who have provided assistance to applicants, including organisations who have worked with the Home Office to support the Scheme. We would particularly like to hear from you about:
This Call for Evidence is structured in the form of an online questionnaire, but you can choose to additionally or alternatively submit a free text account of your experiences. The questionnaire is presented in two versions: the first can be completed by citizens who have made their own applications, and the second by those who have assisted the applications of individuals or made an application on behalf of a citizen.

The statutory remit of the IMA does not extend to investigating or making decisions about individual applications. This remains a Home Office responsibility. The IMA will however take an interest in individual cases to the extent that they illustrate or point to potential systemic problems.
