* Repeat offenders who continue to hire illegal workers will now face fines of up to £20,000 per employee.
* The documents acceptable for ID verification are reduced and amended to ensure that all documents are current.
* If employers are employing international students, then further requirements are now in place about information to be held regarding place and course of study ( see Art 5 ).
All employers employing anyone from out with the UK would be well advised to have copies of the 3 documents with HR Departments or certainly with those responsible for recruitment.
